Mindfulness & The Body

When: Tuesdays 7:30-9pm

Suggested Donation: $15 - $25

No registration necessary, walk-ins welcome

This workshop offers a holistic exploration of the body’s systems, integrating movement, sitting practice, and reflective journaling to gain a deeper, internal awareness of the body’s wisdom.

Course Components include:

Exploration of the Body’s Systems: Engage in explorations of the body’s key systems, such as the muscular, skeletal and nervous systems, as well as the chakra system. Through this exploration, you may develop a deeper understanding of somatics and how these systems need to work in harmony to support your overall well-being.

Movement Practice: Gentle movement practices to awaken and honor the body’s natural rhythms. Through yoga and mindful stretching, you'll practice intuitive movement that aligns with your unique needs.

Sitting Practice: Engaging in a sitting meditation practice to cultivate stillness, presence, and a deeper connection to the body. This allows you to listen to and feel your body’s energy and attune to its signals and subtle wisdom.

Journaling: Reflective journaling will be an integral part of the class, offering a space to process your experiences, capture insights, and deepen your understanding of the body’s wisdom. Journaling prompts will be provided to guide this exploration.

Mindfulness of the Body is suitable for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with their body, whether you are new to these practices or looking to enrich an existing practice. Join in this journey of discovery, where the body and breath becomes a guide for greater self-awareness, rest, healing, and empowerment.
